Who We Are

Rollout Automation is a provider of automation technology and services, uniquely positioned to address the needs of CNC machine shops. We are the owners and operators of two separate businesses, Strong Hand Tools and Killstress Designs, with combined capabilities that span from design and prototyping to manufacturing and installation, and beyond. The debut of Rollout Automation is new in 2022 but this venture was actually formed out of a friendship and business partnership ten years in the making.

We spent years implementing industrial robotics for high-end client projects as well as adopting automation for our own shop floors, and the experience taught us firsthand how complicated and opaque the process can be. We’ve thought a lot about what is essential for implementing automation and how to communicate not just with engineers but with end users and business owners, so everyone understands what they are getting into.

Our mission is to expand automation within the manufacturing industry, especially among small to medium sized businesses that are geared towards high-mix low-volume productions by offering practical instructions on integrating robotics, hardware systems that are adaptable to lean manufacturing operations, and convenient ways to buy the equipment you need to get started.

How We Work

We're just beginning but the mission is clear. Here is what you can expect:

  • An online knowledge base that will give you a foundational understanding of how industrial robotics can work for your facility, explaining

Why you should automate your facility,

What equipment you need, and

How to execute your plan.

  • A library of educational videos with practical tips, and insight into the concepts of automation and why you should care about them.
  • Turnkey automation systems that simplify your hardware choices. We’ll make it easy for you to get what you need by clearly explaining the purchasing process and presenting convenient options to buy online.
  • With all that we offer in videos and hardware, you shouldn’t have to hire a large-scale robotics integrator to get started. But a few of you may want to go the extra mile and, for you, we plan to offer expert installation services. Installations are thoroughly documented and shared with you so you have ownership over your specific installation requirements, reducing the need to hire another robotics integrator if your setup or machine operator changes.
